Why Are My Instagram Story Filters Missing?
In January 2025, Instagram began rolling out a series of major updates to the app. One of these updates no longer supported 3rd parties to create and share their own Story Filters.
All of REFINED Co's story filters that had been used by millions over the past several years were removed with this update. It was unfortunately out of our control and we found out about the removal of our story filters with the update of our app.
We were so sad to see our beloved story filters go but we are here to provide you with an easy alternate method of mobile video editing with REFINED Co.
How To Edit Mobile Videos Easily with REFINED Co Presets
Did you know you can use mobile presets to edit videos in the Lightroom mobile app? All of REFINED Co's Instagram story filters were inspired by our Mobile Preset Collections. If you are looking for a replacement to our Story Filters this is it! The bonus is all of our Desktop Preset collections have a mobile collection, allowing you to seamlessly match your professional photography to your mobile photos & videos.
Using your favorite presets across all of your photography will allow you to hone in on your brand/aesthetic and allow new clients to know what to expect from you. Another example of the benefits of mobile presets is it will also allow you to give your wedding clients an accurate sneak peak to their wedding gallery by sharing a few mobile snapshots you got from their special day and edited with your favorite mobile presets.
